Full Flight: 20+/- miles, Longer, faster-paced no-drop ride for advanced riders. Are you looking to push your mileage at a good pace with fellow stoked riders? The “advanced ride” is for those who want to keep their wheels (mostly) on the ground and are comfortable on a longer ride at a faster pace. We definitely won’t be racing, but this ride is for those that are confident enough to keep up and enjoy the best of the trail system on all level trails from Green to Black. Guided by Whiskey Run gurus, you will ride in and out of the trees, up and down the slopes, and really get a good taste of what Whiskey has to offer!
Intermediate Ride
11:00 AM Intermediate Ride
Whiskey Sampler: No-drop ride on green and blue trails. 10+/- miles. Ready for a little more, but not yet ready to be the King/Queen of the Mountain? Our intermediate ride is great for enthusiastic riders and those with trail riding experience who want to ride a little faster, but still not get left behind. We will ride at a decent pace enjoying a longer ride on mostly blue (intermediate) and green trails with plenty of stops at crucial intersections to hydrate, chat, and catch your breath. This ride, guided by local enthusiasts, is perfect for those with basic to intermediate mountain biking skills who may not be ready for the entire system but want a good solid ride with good solid people.
Beginner Ride
11:30 AM Beginner Ride
Break the Ice: Easy, no-drop ride for adults. 5+/- miles. This relaxed-paced ride is open for beginner mountain bikers who want to get a taste of the trails at an easy pace, so you don’t need to feel like you’re always having to “keep up.” This ride will venture on both the East and West sides of Whiskey Run and encompass white (very easy), green (easy), and a little bit of blue (intermediate) trails. This no-drop ride will give you a chance to enjoy some of the best of the trails and trees with not too much climbing or difficulty, and plenty of breaks. CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY:
Yes, please see the above schedule for packet pick-up.
ARE HELMETS REQUIRED?
Yes, helmets will be required for both events.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO RACE THE FLOW-DURO CHALLENGE?
The minimum age is 9 years old based on the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association guidelines. This is not a race for beginners as the courses are fast & technical and have steep climbs to reach the top where the race begins.
WILL THERE BE A PRE-RIDE OF FLOW-DURO COURSE?
Yes, there will be a Pre-Ride of the course on Saturday @ 1 PM.
DO I HAVE TO DO ALL 3 FLOW DURO CHALLENGE RACES? OR CAN I JUST SIGN UP FOR ONE?
You can sign up for one or all of the Flow Duro Challenges races. You can only be considered for the “Champion of the Dirt Wave Series” if you attend all 3 races.
CAN I CHANGE MY RACE CATEGORY ONCE I HAVE RACED?
You cannot switch race categories on the same day. However, if you’ve finished racing for the day, you can change your category for the next race, either moving up or down. Please note that any points you earned in your original category will not transfer to the new category.
We recommend staying in the category you originally registered for. Additionally, prize money is only available for those registered in CAT 1. If you placed on the podium in CAT 2 last season, you may want to consider registering for CAT 1 this year.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Event Director Daniella Crowder at Director@OregonRides.com.
WHY ARE THERE ONLY 100 SPOTS AVAILABLE IN THE FLOW DURO CHALLENGE RACE?
We are only allowing 100 people to register for the race so we have plenty of time to do 2 timed laps down the race course and need to allow time for climbing back to the top in between.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If You Need to Cancel:
- We encourage participants to opt for “purchase protection” during registration. This optional coverage provides a way to safeguard your investment in the event.
- If you do not purchase protection, we do not offer cash refunds for cancellations.
Transfer Option:
- Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event can transfer their registration to one of the remaining event dates in 2025. No transfers are allowed within 14 days of the event.
If We Need to Cancel:
- In the unlikely event we need to cancel the event due to COVID-19, fires, acts of God, smoke, natural disasters, or other force majeure events or any issues out of our control:
- If cancellation occurs 14 or more days before the event, we will offer a transfer to another event date in 2025.
- If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the event or if it is the final event of the season, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or transfers. This is due to expenses that must be covered regardless of whether the event occurs, including permits, insurance, third-party vendor commitments, registration processing fees, and other administrative costs.
What happened to adding a fourth venue to the series in 2025?
We had originally hoped to add a fourth coastal venue to the Dirt Wave lineup for 2025. However, the location we had in mind is a bit farther inland and currently doesn’t allow e-bikes, so it didn’t align logistically with our goals for the event.
That said, we’re already making exciting plans for 2026! While we’ll continue to celebrate our favorite coastal venues, we’re also looking forward to taking the Dirt Wave on the road, adding some valley favorites to the mix. Stay tuned for more details—we can’t wait to share what’s in store!
